From their second post in the thread, after I mentioned I hoped they contacted the seller:       I agreed to keep the item but the fact that the conversation was required at all is reason enough for neutral.

Interesting .... I think that there is more to this one.... reads to me no matter what the seller did or did not do, the OP was going to leave a neutral anyway.  "Agreed" indicates some kind of negotiation took place.
