Maybe that statement implies (to him/her) that they don't have a B&M store, but sell from home. Poor wording because if you are buying to sell, you are a dealer. It would be an easy mistake to make though.

I agree with whoever said it, not responsible for lost mail? Try telling eBay that. Yes, you are responsible for lost mail, regardless of what you write. Policy even states that you're not meant to write that in your listings. One could even say it's a policy violation.

Check OPs feedback as a buyer,he's buying coins and he's selling coins make it what you will.

I've dealt with all the dealers/sellers that OP has dealt with 

Plus once I sold $1000 I was a dealer not a collector that was reaching into my coffers lol

I totally agree with you, he's buying to sell, so he's a dealer. He just probably doesn't see himself as that because he doesn't have a shop. I'd like to have a shop because then I'd know I was selling enough to warrant one!

Or even, *gasp, clutching pearls*, buy cheap to re-sell, to cushion the cost of further adding to their collections?

I did actually think that when people were discussing dealers, but wasn't game to say anything. Cash Converters and the like call themselves dealers and I always wonder if they are dealing drugs too.

Yes, I've sold off doubles to make money to buy new collectables that I want. I've also sold off entire collections when I've lost interest in that and have an interest in something else. I've bought several identical things at garage sales with the intention of keeping the best one and selling the others. I also buy things to resell. I'm not a dealer though, just a seller. I'd probably make way more if I was a dealer!
