I really get tired of automatic pro-seller responses. Read the complete thread.
The OP is not against sellers adding a bit for a bag & tape. It is about not following through with what was promised & charging for what was not delivered.
I do occasional selling & always put a couple of dollars in for bag etc either into postage or the item. If I buy I expect the same is reasonable. I dont expect a seller to winge afterwards about how put out they were. Yes, when there is really complicated packing ( like a 1 metre high Egytptian sarcophagus) that requires thorough packing you need to make it clear up front or incorporate the hike in the item. However if you hike the postage & then send it squashed in a sachel (& I've had those squashed in the letter box) I think the buyer has a point.
