If nothing else, I admire your persistant refusal to either pay attention to what I'm saying, or respond to the actual points I make.
I would actually enjoy the challenges of some of these discussions if you would at least do one or the other more often than neither, but if you are happy to take one small aspect of a post and assume there was a point to it that I didn't even make, I don't even understand why you bother.
I never suggested ebay and ASIC's processes were identical, by the way, I was trying to illustrate that registering something in one person's name and wanting it to be registered to a different person, is never just a simple process of changing the name. I used a business situation because I thought it the most relevant and that you would understand the significance.
For heaven's sake, I have the option to update my personal details on just about every online account I've opened. Transfering ownership of something is not the same as changing personal details, and it is the latter which eBay provide the option for, as do all the other accounts I have.
