Please point us to this golden rule guideline that says you should start at a price you're willing to accept. At the moment ebay is pushing sellers to start at 99c. For a new seller that registered a month ago, that's all they had to go on.

Even those of us who have been selling ling term are getting messages to start at 99c on unsold auctions.

What indicates to you that this seller is a scammer? Not all new sellers of coins are scammers.

The golden rule guideline unfortunately may only be understood through gaining some experience, and development of skepticism regarding  eBay suggestions.

As a seller I think you pretty soon learn on this site that following eBay suggestions for improving your selling rate can bring you significant grief - including the guff about starting things at 99c.

My advice is for newbies to start out very conservatively with their pricing, rather than throwing caution to the wind and leaving it for the market place alone to deliver the price they would like.

Please - my comment re questionning why eBay would alert potential scammers to having a flagged account was meant generally - personalise it if you will, but insult to the OP WAS NOT intended.
