They are now regarded as a racist symbol as the doll itself was an original minstrel doll and was only named a golliwog for

the book and it assumed that name then.

then why have ebay a specific category for these dolls called golliwog. Yet in their madness they slap sellers with listing violations for listing them when there is no policy in place saying they are restricted. This was my exact beef with them over the confederate stuff there was no announcement, no nothing before the rude email slapping me with listing violation.

eBay has a "mind: of it's own and the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing and they'll punish a seller for something

that was fine one day but not the next.

I presume you appealed the slap stating that there was never a problem before and that there was a specific category for it.

Their communication is certainly lacking when they issue a slap for something they are initially to blame for,(they wont blame

themselves so off course the seller gets penalized).

Their categories need a complete overhaul by someone that knows what they are doing.

I sure did. The supervisor I spoke to was very sorry it happened as it did she also agreed there should have been some announcement. She removed whatever violations were on my account due to those removals. You could understand if they put out an anouncement saying these items will no longer be allowed on ebay could you please remove them. If sellers don't then slap them with a violation.

Enid Blyton dropped the golliwogs and Dick, Fanny names due to the pollitical corect BS happening around the traps.

Just spoke to someone " In Ebay" and they are actually meeting about the category today. Anyone affected will get an email when their decision has been made.

Shoot first... Then question !

LOL

........ you crack me up ......... LOL

4 listings by 4 different sellers went up tonight

i was not aware of some of this stuff.

gollys with paws?  gollys hanging from a noose?  not what i'd want to expose my child to, especially before bedtime.
