I have been in business for over 30 years , sent 1000s of items thru Australia Post ,never confronted this!
Last week we sent a parcel off to a customer from a ebay sale ,Printed out a Ebay Australia pre paid label, generated from the customers address from his ebay site, I think we all know how it works.
Today the parcel was returned from Australia post stating the address is incorrect,
So we contacted the buyer to ask what is his address, I won’t state the number but will say what was generated on the original label was
(Bryne Street Ashcroft NSW )
The buyer had this on his Ebay check out address, so it was printed out as that.
When we rang him he stated his address is all correct but a slight spelling mistake, should be (THE SECOND LETTER IN THE STREET NAME SHOULD HAVE BEEN Y NOT R)
(Byrne Street Ashcroft NSW)
This very slight mistake was rejected by Australia post and returned to us, we contacted Australia post there reply was it is up to you as a sender that address is correct , because , computers these days sort most parcels , very disappointed our Aussy Public company looks like it has been sold out to no care all profit business.
I would now say this will be a major problem for all of us.
