what does the majority of clothing bought by a woman mean? Personal items. Particularly when they are routinely the same sizes.

I could go into more detail about what information is gleaned from details like this (including advertising companies) but it's easy to think through.

joking aside, it's what marketing companies do for a living, too. Trawl through personal details gleaned from purchasing details. eBay, rewards programs etc.
