Mine mostly fit eBay's size recommendation of 1600px on a side and they seem to be available.
Nevertheless, that is the only thing in the lister's control.

If its in full site they should be pinching and zooming as phones try and cram everything in to fit and unless you have super vision you cant make anything out.

I always upload square images, and have found that 700 x 700 pixels means the listing gets the "click to view larger size" option, while 800 x 800 (or larger) always gets the "mouse over" option, where a small section is enlarged in a window to the right.
