It's not a workaround for everyone. I was trying to trigger it last night and the only way I could do it was to try to get to My Messages from the dropdown (I tried lots of different ways!). It was when I clicked on that it had the foreign login. I've not had any issues since.
I feel a bit left out that someone got a HK login! Mine was just boring old Germany.
Mine was even more boring UK.
