If you have tracking on the item and post the item over the counter so you get a lodgement scan inside your stated handling then ebay will remove any late delivery defect. Doesn't matter how long it takes to arrive you are protected. 

If you have no tracking then you are at the mercy of whatever the buyer answers to the delivery date question and any defect will then stay in place.
