It's better for you if they will review the evidence you have now thru messages and close it right away with no penalty to you.
Make sure that you have uploaded the tracking information onto the case itself. Don't just rely on the fact that you attached it to the original transaction. Upload it again in the case.
There is another possibility too. If he does not like the fact that ebay finds against him (if indeed they do) then he could even try raising a further case thru PayPal. So it may not be finished yet.
It is a return case.
The only tracking you can upload on a return is the return post label.
Uploading anything to this case may trigger a series of unfortuante events.
