I would never let a buyer arrange the courier delivery, it would still be classed as pick up only so no Paypal protection if the buyer does a bank chargeback.

I must have misunderstood I believe the OP did offer pick up only for the item. I don't get the difference between the buyers own courier & the buyer physically picking the item up when "pick up" is the only way to receive the goods.
