I have just been advised. That i have to wait 21days to get paid fot a boat i sold. I have been with eBay for five years and paypal. My money has been placed on hold because i haven't sold anything for twelve months so im classed as s new seller. So now i have to hand over the boat. And wait for paypal to release my money. If this is the way ebay treats people then i will never advertise on their site again. Oh yeah and they took there fees out.

Maybe the buyer can cancel the payment, and you can arrange to have cash on pickup instead?

Hang on what about the no seller protection for pick up items?

Here we go again lol

When i sort this out. Ebay are finished for me. I'll stick to gumtree

Personally I would have insisted on CASH ON PICKUP. No waiting, no fuss.

I have mixed feelings about selling such large items like this - what's to stop the buyer claiming a charge back or asking for a refund or claiming the item was " damaged" after they had already taken it away.

Was your buyer a low feedback buyer or did they have a solid feedback history?

You might want to get a copy of their drivers licence or other identifying information when they come to collect.

I have tried to avoid contacting customer. Even though paypal has my money. I don't want to jeopardize the sale. Im just **bleep** off with the way ebay has handled this.they took out there money and and gave paypal the rest. There grubs. But thanks for the advice. I will get more details from seller.
