Depends if the site has certification or not.  So for eBay you can use
https:// stores.ebay
or

http:// stores.ebay

both will take you to the store.  If there is no certification

http:// prettypicture/1.jpg you see the image https:// prettypicture/1.jpg  No pretty picture

Without seeing the listing its a bit hard to tell whats going on, are you using a hosting site for images etc.?

Thanks for the reply, I'm pretty sure the site doesn't have certification, as the template was created using Freeform 2 and on the info page for eBay's new requirements it says "...the images that are included with FreeForm and FreeForm2 (such as borders and backgrounds) are HTTP, not HTTPS." and just goes on to say that eBay won't show descriptions because of this, but rather the button to view them, so it doesn't seem like they'll be updated to https.

The template itself has HTML like this: {background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);background-image:url("http ://freeform2.robshelp.com/textures/transparent.gif"), which I first thought was superfluous because I de-selected the background image(s) and / or selected transparent like in the above example, since I had to make a selection when customising the template, and then just set background colours (or, at least that's what I thought I was doing Smiley Embarassed)  but removing the http link to the image seemed to remove all of the background stuff, while adding s to http kept everything the way it was, or so it seems when I view the listings myself.
