Best Match is not a search that ranks items according to price.  If it was, there would be no need for the “price + postage : lowest first” search option.  You may feel that your item is the best match for consumers, but in thinking this you are using the words “best” and “match”, as well as the phrase “best match” in a literal way.

 

So, your ranking in Best Match search results is based on other criteria.  What are the criteria?

So it seems that there are things a seller can do to influence the ranking of their product in Best Match.  One would be the Title of the item, Another would be to not keep going to their item pages and adding to the page views as page views without a sales conversion may influence the ranking i.e. likelihood to sell.
