That's how I read it so to me this is a big scam,the buyer must be stupid to think it's a sellers fault if it was stolen while in the buyers possession lol

ive messaged him about the serial number being only readable when the sealed box is opened.
and said go to the police.

yeah i'd considered the other possibilities - i'm not saying they aren't what has happened - but on face value, you should still be protected as a seller.
