That's how I read it so to me this is a big scam, the buyer must be stupid to think it's a sellers fault if it was stolen while in the buyers possession lol

ok, ive just got a reply from the buyer. he confirms he picked up the parcel from the post office and whilst shopping put it down somewhere and someone nicked it.

hes talked to shopping center staff and it should be on CCTV but he cant access that unless police are involved.

if it was me id be calling police in asap!

Good news for you.  Not such for the buyer.  Hopefully they get it back

That's good news - for you, if not for the buyer.

Still, it was an interesting discussion about PO procedures.

I hope the PO is reading this thread and do the right thing hahahaha

ive messaged him about the serial number being only readable when the sealed box is opened.

and said go to the police.

so glad i came here first.

thanks everyone for your valued input.

yeah i'd considered the other possibilities - i'm not saying they aren't what has happened - but on face value, you should still be protected as a seller.

I'd say the buyer is more concerned about getting the serial number so they can check for it being sold again.

This is certainly taking the concept of seller responsibility for delivery to a new level.

Unfortunately I don't have a 3d printer.
