It’s all a bit weird.

i wouldn’t have worried as much if PayPal and eBay didn’t say that they should never have received my email. They told me someone must have “guessed” my email address.

Myabe there was a change to how they do it as of July 1st ? there's been a few things been altered/added/fiddled with as of the end of the tax year

I need to buy something in the next few days if there are any in a suitable size for a suitable price, So I'll pay attention as to if the seller's emai is on that receipt

I doubt they would have guessed your email through

Whether as buyer or seller, if you click on "View Paypal Transaction" for the relevant purchase/sale in your Purchase History or Sold listings respectively, it takes you to Paypal's specific "Transaction Details" page, and that page shows, inter alia, the other party's email address.

I made 2 paypal payents in the last 3 days and the seller's email is on both of the receipts under the seller's details.

Thanks for that Smiley Happy

I'm having a U2 moment so far

I Still Have'nt Found What I'm Looking For

Not on mine (as a seller) it doesn't. I also don't see any email address on the Paypal notification email.

I looked at my last couple of purchases, and did not see any email details. What do you mean by 'the receipts'? Receipts from whom?

The paypal receipts.....most of them have the email address that the payment went to amd some also have an email address with the seller's details as well.

I don't buy much so had some difficulty finding a Paypal receipt, but I now see if I am the buyer, I can see the seller's email address if I pay by Paypal.

However, as a seller, I still can't see how to locate the buyer's email address since PP (apparently) removed it from the notification email as from 1st July.

Sorry I can't help you....I am a buyer only.

It would appear that ebay is trying to get rid of every possible way that buyers and sellers can contact each other.

Makes me wish I had kept all those business cards with addresses and other contact details that so many sellers have sent me.
