buyer cant pay

ok, have a buyer located in mexico, and he cant get ebay to let him pay.

i'm guessing its because i have made south america and central america places i dont post to.

can i change that as a once off after an item is sold?

Strange.

I thought if you didn't post to certain places, then they couldn't see the listing?

I'm probably wrong.  Someone else will know.

Sorry.   Can't help.

well i thought that too, and i also thought even if they could 'see' my ad they would be unable to buy.

I thought that three,on both counts. Strange days indeed

I'm not sure if the option for 'excluded' buyers is still around so you could add this person to it as I've not used it in several years

Maybe they changed their location to elsewhere and then changed back after buying? I've heard of people doing that to get around blocks

Or maybe they logged in to eBay Australia by genuine accident and then realised before they went to pay so logged out and back in to the correct site?

Or maybe eBay is just being an asp

Might be a dumb question, but have you issued an invoice with postage costs?

he sent me the following message,

Hi again! Can you make the delivery to this address if possible and shipping cost?
Chihuahua, Chihuahua, México
Address: Residencial Campestre IIda Etapa
Street: Connecticut
No: #4927
Zip Code #31213
If it's not possible send it to: el paso TX, I think that's the problem that doesnt let me pay...

i'm getting a bad feeling about this, prolly why i chose to block that area of the world.

maybe i should give him the choice to cancel the sale or wait for the non payment system to kick in.

its not my fault after all.

yes, sent an invoice, it had free postage so i typed in 0.00 in the postage area and it allowed me to send it.

Hmmmmmm.......sounds suss to me but then again I am suss by nature due to too much eBay suss stuff

i listed it with a no fees and charges offer so if i just cancel the sale i wouldnt get charged would i?

or do i call ebay myself and have a chat about it?

id really rather just lose the sale than get into sending expensive items to who knows who.

hes a newish ebay member, only feedback of 1.

I'm very wary of suggesting a seller cancel, it has been that if they seller selects the reason as being something wrong with the buyer's address that the seller won't get a defect, but you can bet if ebay changed that, they would'nt be telling people up front about it

Not sure about the item fees as it's been long enough since I last cancelled a sale at they buyer's request that the rules have prolly changed since
