You can log into multiple accounts via the same browser, you just need to use private tabs (eg incognito mode if using Chrome).
I still use two different browsers, though, because I know I would end up posting with the wrong ID, plus it means I have to "go to the effort" (which is no small undertaking 
) of opening up a different browser if I want to browse / reply to posts, and that very slight deterrent actually keeps me away and focused on my tasks, just a lil bit. Sometimes.
