I should have made this bit clearer.
In my view it would be impossible to make a claim on the buyer or seller protection policy for a personal payment because the policies relate generally to goods.
Personal payments cannot be used for goods or services therefore claims for the non delivery, the poor quality, breakages during freight or counterfeit items..... whatever????
could not be entertained when the payment is flowed through the personal tabs.
I think paypal worked out they had a "profit leak" that needed to be plugged
.
A personal transaction involves sending money (initiated from the "Personal" tab of the "Send Money" flow or “Send Money” through PayPal mobile) to and receiving money into your PayPal account from friends and family without making a purchase, (ie the payment is not for goods or services).
I think the bolded phrase above would make it impossible to make a claim on either the buyer or seller protection policy
