?? Very strange. Never seen that happen.
Have you checked that you are actually logged in to .com.au and not just .com
when you search?

Yes to both however . . .
A few minutes after making my post I did several searches and all worked perfectly!
In one instance all listings were from Australia. and in another with only a few Australian items, AU was at the top, followed by a heading "Overseas Listings". Today is the first time I've ever seen that. I do web programming, so my browser cache is cleared several times a day.
Let's hope it keeps up because I've often had to plow through several pages before finding one AU listing.

If you use 'default', you will get Australian sellers and dropshippers who list on eBay Australia, then (if there's room on the page ) overseas listings.
Been that way for at least 10 years.
