There's no way they could enforce immediate payment on auctions. In case you don't understand how immediate payment works, the buyer can't actually 'buy' the goods unless they pay for them. They can click on the buy-it-now button but if they don't pay for them immediately then the items are still available for others to buy. There's no way they could get auctions to work that way.
