Chameleon,
Complete invisibility is still happening. I was looking for a Swiss Diamond steamer insert about 5-6 weeks ago, and could not find one that was listed by one of my favourite sellers. (P's of K.) I searched using the exact title of the listing (which I'd fortunately added to my watched items), but that listing did not appear. Even when I clicked onto the seller name and then onto the link for items being sold by the seller, the search result was... zero.
Only when I clicked onto the seller's store did their items appear.
It made me wonder how many times the search results simply exclude listings by some sellers, to the detriment of both buyers and sellers. I recalled a previous search where a red bar fridge listed by yet another large seller (TGG) vanished from all search results, although I found it in my watched items. How many smaller sellers must have been impacted by this sort of thing? Unless a buyer is searching within a store, of a seller whose eBay name they know (and who has a store), it's truly "lights out" with no explanation.
The P's of K items became visible again abut 2 weeks later.

Interesting. Would it have something to do with eBay 'sharing the love' so that every seller gets some sales. If a high percentage of larger sellers were getting most sales, is this a way of at least keeping sellers on eBay, especially us smaller ones ?
If sellers were simply not making a buck, they would just give up and go elsewhere. The more sellers the more variety and sharper pricing to effectively attract the buyers... who at the end of the day provide everyone with income.

As far as I know accounts are all calendar month and if automatic payment is used the dates are the same 15-17. If not you have to the end of the month to pay, although they email a lot when theres a few days left if theres any outstanding.

As expected sales have dropped as the fees are almost due. Although today there has not been a single sale which I cannot remember the last time that happened. The way things are going it may become more regular.

Half of ebay sellers are invoiced up to the last day of the month, the other half are invoiced up to the 15th. FACT! It's in ebay's information if anyone cares to look, or used to be. I have two accounts on the last day of the month and the other on the 15th - all paid for the exact same way and always have been.
I have mine set for automatic payment and they take it at the end of the billing month. I was always of the understanding though that if you manually pay you have more time to pay? Not sure if that's still the way it works

Mine are set up to be taken from my credit card but I always make a one-time paypal payment before they take it off my card. I think it'd be deducted between the 8th and a few days later if I left it to come off my card but I can't be bothered checking old emails.

Not sure how many sellers get invoiced mid month and how many at the end of the month, but brerrabbit's basic premise is correct. I have three selling accounts, two get invoiced at the end of the month, one gets invoiced mid month.
As for sales, all over the place at the moment, but the last couple of days have been very good after putting up a number of new listings. ...........Before that....buyers appeared to be pretty tentative and aiming more at the cheaper end of listings rather than buying the bigger ticket items. Sold several more expensive items today though.
