You have dragged up a 4.5 year old thread to add a comment that has no relationship to the original problem.
There was no coronavirus problem then as there is now.
Actually Australia post is accountable to government rules and regulations especially in Victoria where everybody is in lockdown which is causing problems that are impacting on everybody.

There's obviously still a problem. My parcel arrived at Sunshine Wesr on 1 November and is STILL THERE 17 days later. I could probably walk from my home in Queensland to Victoria, pick up my parcel, and walk home again before their 2 billion dollar machine worked out how to get it to me.

it is probably just a case of the item not being scanned.
I recently sent a satchel from Mildura in N-W Vic to Brisbane. It got scanned when I handed it over the counter and then not again until it was onboard for delivery 15 days later.
