I have already reported them and it was someone on the live chat who told me the only way to initiate a further investigation into the matter is for me to continue to contact the bully. 

I definitely do have a case to pursue (it is a very long story which I won't go into here as that's not what is concerning me for now). I'm just curious to know if anyone else has been bullied to the point of needing to report it and then being told they must still continue to have contact with that person as that just doesn't seem right to me. As an aside, the person on the chat sent me the street address for eBay's corporate head office in Sydney and told me that the only other thing I can do is turn up there and speak to an unspecified person (an avenue I am sure eBay does not wish to encourage).
