I had never heard of Cassini so I googled it and found something over at Auctionbytes about it

http://www.ecommercebytes.com/cab/cab/abn/y12/m10/i15/s02

By the looks of it ebay is still rolling out Cassini plus it also looks to me like ebay (Cassini) developers are beta testing in the live environment.

Today I searched in Australian Decimal Coins for a "2004 mint set" sorted by cheapest price and was presented with all manner of results from the US etc which had nothing to do with Australian Decimal coins so then refined the search to Australia only and then the search defaulted back to best match. ROFL!!!!

It seems that "search" is completely stuffed.

There are so many things wrong with this website now that my head spins just thinking about it.

I wonder how long ebay buyers can put up with this nonsense before they have to jump ship too.

As a seller the recent decision to shut my store wasn't too difficult as my spreadsheet told me exactly what was happening and told me to get out before the water went to rapid boil.

I doubt that TRS status enhances best match visibility so my opinion on it is don't stress if you loose TRS status.

The spreadsheet I was using told me TRS status was not at all helpful, in fact the spreadsheet I use told me that TRS is very very bad and best match placement showed me that TRS pushes you further down the list of best match so it would appear that the opposite of what ebay leads us to believe is true.

The recent radical drop off in sales and best match visibility could have all been a glitch with Cassini that just destroyed the ebay store based business that I was setting up so have no idea what is going on and don't really want to align any business enterprise with ebay now as it kind of reminds my of some kind of charismatic religion which is run on spin and BS.

I may (or may not) come back and have a look at ebay in a few months time to see if the "new model" is any better.
