Thankyou all for your concerns, I too was nervous sending the equipment over to South America and after  your latest comments I have realised that I can limit the countries that can bid on an item which I did not know for this auction. I did request a signature, but as you mentioned, multiple red flags are flying, I have also noted Australia Post have estimated a delivery date of 31/01/2022 basically due to the Colombian customs,  I am sure the delay will prompt outrage from the buyer, ho hum, I'll know for future international selling, but for this one, I have already got the flak jacket on waiting for the barrage of complaints and probable losses.

Thank you all again for your concern.

If the parcel hasn't left Australia yet and you have a My Post account it might be possible to get it redirected back to you.

Yup, I was going to suggest this too. Or even a private Facebook Message to Aus Post has always been helpful.

If you can get this package back to you, I think you will be dodging a major bullet.

Unfortunately, I do not have a My post account or Face Book account for that matter.

I have decided to let the process proceed and suffer the consequences of my original ignorance, thanks very much for the ideas though.

Just phone them and tell them that you believe you are about to be defrauded and wish to recall the package. There are so few flights at the moment, your package most likely isn't going anywhere soon.

Why lose $1400? You've still learned what not to do going forward, why lose a ton of money on top of  it? Please don't feel you have to punish yourself over this.

Don't tell me you have shipped to Colombia  via  Economy Sea Mail

Oh, you could be right @gutterpunkz!

I didn't click about the date in late January.

For the  OP,s sake  I hope I am wrong,  But I have post to Colombia at  approx 5 weeks,

Yeah, I can't see a Sea Mail option on the Aus Post site when I look at the delivery times, so something's not right. But then again, we're dealing with Columbia, and I have no confidence in the procedures of any Customs agents in that country. Wouldn't surprise me if the parcel only gets released if a massive amount of "Duty" needs to be paid.
