For the sake of anyone else reading this...
Sandy is probably using PhotoBucket to display photos within the body her eBay item descriptions and is using an HTML template that is designed for the photos to be a certain size. In the past PhotoBucket would automatically size them as she uploaded to her desired size. The new PhotoBucket may be defaulting to a larger size. To fix all she needed to do was change the size setting during the upload process or resize them smaller after uploading.
There is no eBay involvement with photos displayed within the item description. They may be shown as large or as small as desired and as many as desired (not limited to 12). Additionally, images such as banners and logos can be displayed as well as video such as from YouTube.
