For those concerned about Express Post and lack of Seller Protection, it's important to remember that it's only (most of) the pre-paid satchels and envelopes that don't meet the eligibility requirements, Express Platinum and anything sent in own packaging does. I don't know the costs for parcels over 500 grams, but for under it costs $9.55, the same as a standard pre-paid satchel (so does cost a bit more for any extra packaging, and no bulk discounts. I'm assuming parcels over 500gm could get to be quite a bit more than a 3kg satchel, however the 5kg satchel @$21-something also meets eligibility requirements). But, the other issue is of course is that you can't register them, and if memory serves there's no compensation available.

Aside from several other reasons why I don't wish to offer Express as standard on listings, it would be almost pointless (other than for the purpose of "rank hunting") on more than half my items - they go as large letters for under $2, but only documents can be sent via express letters. I very much doubt someone will be prepared to pay another $8 or so on a $10 item just to have something the next day.
