I have been buying on ebay since 2001, everytime when I receive item/s as soon as I leave feedback I also email the seller to let them know I received the item and that everything is okay or not.

9 times out of 10 the seller will email me back saying they appreciate my letting them know everything is fine.

I have always thought it was courtesy to do so.
