After posting my reply earlier I noted that Ebay IS running a promo to buyers etc. t the present time, so they may have heard your plea for assistance 😉

It's something to do with winning $1,000 cash and other vouchers if you hit on a paticular item for sale when browsing, but I didn't take much note of the deatils thereof.

I only saw reference to it on the left side when i was ding other things.

I also later recalled that i'd seen an ad on TV the other day promoing the purchasing of goods via Ebay, but again I didn't take much notice at the time.

So it would seem that ebay IS doing more than you've given them credit for too encourage potential buyers into the Ebay site.
