Just went to the PO and it turns out that registered mail no longer includes ANY cover in the event of loss or theft! If we want insurance, and we usually do, then it's an extra $1.50 (from zero to $100 values) ON TOP of the registered cost of $3.20 per package. And of course, postage itself has substantially gone up across the board.

But we do get the 'free' tracking which is completely meaningless and provides no protection against PayPal, so that's something.

AustPost just keeps getting 'better'....
