I am a regular user of ebay both buying and selling, for well over 10 years. I recently listed a Jayco Penguin campervan, the type of which sell between $16000 and $18000 in caravan sales yards. the item had over 800 views with 40+ watchers, I received a couple of phone calls and one question. I placed an opening bid of $10000. on the van with a reserve of $14000. I only received one opening bid of $10,000. 10 seconds before then end of the listing. My question is  - Is ebay now for buying and selling or is it for just looking? The listing fees and paypal fees are quite high. Is it time to forget ebay or are my expectations too high?
