On the basis of Australia Posts tracking system being in disarray - with some parcels now having two tracking numbers due to the incompetence of the system planners and post product developers, you could ask the PO staff very nicely to stamp a dispatch sheet (a suggested above) as proof of post to addressees for your mail register business records. 

Of course you will get some staff that will 🙂 and some staff that won't X-(
