I have never found any correlation between the number of views and watchers and the likelihood of a sale … of course this must have been said in jest

You can not have sales without views

And also, most importantly, the number of views/watchers shows whether you have listed the item correctly, in the right category, have used the correct keywords, title etc

If I list an item and do not have views/watchers then something is wrong … that in itself is an excellent reason to check your listings
