Hi, I sell skiwear and include the maker's sizing and full measurements in my listings, along with a disclaimer that I won't accept returns for sizing issues. A lot of buyers don't do anything beyond look at the picture - I once sold a discounted pair of kids' ski overalls on the basis that they were missing their braces (mentioned in the item title, description, shown in photo, and listed as new with defects) and received an abusive email spelling out the definition of overalls and demanding that I provide them immediately, or suffer the consequences! I responded in a carefully worded email and the response was "No worries - all good". It's enough to do your head in.

But the truth is that I do refund - provided the person is willing to return the goods to me at their cost. (This gear is bulky and the cost of posting it all over the country is horrendous). I will cover return postage if I've made an error, or the item has a problem I missed, but not for the myriad of reasons they come up with  - "I'm always a size 12 at K-Mart, the colour looked different on the monitor, I thought they'd be different (?), my child doesn't like them, we're not going skiing now, " and my personal favourite - I usually receive one or two per ski season from someone whose never seen snow before - "These aren't proper ski pants".  This year's doozy came from a lady who bought a very well known brand of snowboard pants that had waterproof, breathability, windproof ratings ON THE PANTS, and a snowflake motif on the fabric!  She very patiently pointed out to me what they should be like.

Most people have been happy to return items at their cost, and in the very rare case where I've copped an unfair negative or neutral about sizing, I've found that if you PHONE eBay, and have kept your communications with the buyer on eBay's message system, they will remove it.

Good luck,

Marina.
