thanks very much for your answers falcon and tstreet.....I will do both I think...use the visual etc thingie, which a friend also told me about...and in the mac do garage sale...i love linux ... my laptop was just about dead with windows 7 on it...and my geeky friend installed linux for me. No problems anymore...its fabulous....windows is such a pain....cheers and thanks again...appreciated lots...jilly
