Just re-read your OP - do you mean you can't write in the description field? And if so, are you using Internet Explorer?

There is a compatibility issue with eBay and the latest update of IE, but you can fix that by going to your Compatibility settings in IE and adding eBay, or switching to another browser like Chrome or Firefox.
