I would like to organise a fundraiser similar to one I participated in a few years ago. People were invited to list items on their own ebay accounts using a key phrase in the titles (Handmade Help) and then they donated the proceeds from their auctions to the cause we were supporting. It was easy to search for participating auctions using the key words, and various blogs also created lists of links.

My question is, what would be the rules of this kind of project in terms of meeting legal requirements and ebay's rules? Would it be sufficient for the organisation we support to write a letter of authorisation that would cover all willing participants in the project, and then for all of us to include their charity number in our auctions?

I would be so grateful for any help with this.
