One reason why people offer combined postage is to attract bidders to buy multiple items and I have done this with other items e.g movie posters, but I actually state that I will accept combined postage on these items. I do not state this in the listings for my currency. Buyers need to use communication before bidding, I have done this to enquire for combined postage and even local pick up if not specified in a listing. I have also accepted these conditions on my own listing after communication and negotiation from buyers.

I would advise in future, to avoid a similar circumstance from re-occuring, that rather than simply omit the fact you will not combine/ reduce postage, you make it very clear in your listings that you won't, in a way that makes it as unmissable as possible. That way, only buyers who read it and are prepared to pay the full amount for each item will bid, and if anyone happens to miss it, you can point out that it was a clear term of sale.

The value of the coins is largely irrelevant, BTW, and is not a good enough reason to keep P&H at full charges, just IMHO - postage is supposed to only contain the value of postage and handling.

To be perfectly frank, I neither agree with the OP's stance, nor yours, on the whole... but that's also irrelevant, in all practical senses. Smiley LOL But still, informed buyers make for easier transactions on ebay, so please do put it in listings in the future, for your and the buyer's benefit.
