There will always be buyers who shop online, not for price, but for convenience.
I buy a lot online because
a) it is easy to compare prices rather than wander around a billion different stores
b) I HATE shopping centres
c) often, there is a greater variety on line than in my surrounding area, and I also get the benefit of past season items that I may have missed.
d) often, I will forget to buy something and eventually just buy it off eBay as I remember I want it.
Eg, I live in a pretty big city, major shopping centre 5klm away.
I broke my sticky tape holder thingy over a year ago, but everytime I went to the shops, I forgot to buy one. One night I just got frustrated with making do with the broken one and so bought one instantly from eBay.
Lots of people shop for convenience too.
The trick is to find a product that might fit into those categories, that people either can't pick up across the road, or might be a better choice iykwim.
Of course, there will always be someone who has access to your product, but not everyone.
For example, there is a brand of ladies clothes called Alannah Hill. Now I love this brand, but have never seen it anywhere near where I live, so eBay is one of the few places that I know to buy it from, so I do.
Some people can go their whole lives and never really live for a single minute.
