I'm with you on that.
Postage cannot be free. Postage costs vary from state to state. The difference can be from $10.00 for a local parcel to over $50.00 for the other side of the country.
So do I list my $10.00 item at a starting price of $60.00 - just in case in need to post to the other side of the state - I'll never make a sale. It will scare away any local buyers.
It will be too confusing. Will I be able to adjust the final invoice to if it is a local buyer????
What about combined postage? Will I be able to adjust the final invoice for combined postage.
The only time I may offer free postage is if I can slip it into an envelope and I have already made a decent profit on the staring price of the item.
i will never offer free postage on parcels, etc.
Buyer's are not stupid - they know what's going on.
Seller's are not stupid either.
With some luck - the ACCC may look into the matter & rule against this incredibly daft and unfair to both sellers & buyers act.![]()
