I kind of understand where you are coming from, but would 10% on postage really do all that?? I can't see it personally. So, something that costs $8 (regular small parcel price) will now cost $8.80 ..... It doesn't help things, but .... I don't think it will change eBay much, nor put that many people off.

For a lot of people, FVF on postage won't mean a 10% increase on eBay fees, it will mean a 100% or more increase.

This will be most noticable for small to medium sellers whose primary range is comprised of items where the postage cost is equal to or more than the item price.

As an example, a $100 item with $8.00 postage cost - currently, $9.90 FVF, after, around $10.70, a less than 10% increase on overall cost to the seller.

An $8.00 item with $8.00 postage = currently, 80c FVF, after, $1.60-odd FVF, a 100% increase in overall costs to the seller. Times that by the volume of items they have / sell, then their operating costs are about to skyrocket, possibly putting them out of the game unless they can find something to counter the damage.

The market may bear an extra dollar or two on some items, it may not, so a lot of people are very worried about the future of their business right now.
