It's almost impossible to get consistent interpretation of the rules from either ebay employees or posters on these boards.

We had a listing or two cancelled by ebay just recently becasue they said they were in the wrong category. We put our items in this category becasue it seemed appropriate and because there were literally hundereds of same items already listed in the category. Mostly from Chinese sellers.

When we asked ebay about this they would only stick to the party line and said that we need to list ours in the category they were saying. We even reported one same listing from a Chinese seller for being wrongly categorised but to this day it still remains listed there.

So we felt a bit discriminated against to the point where we sought legal advice. But we were informed by the lawyers that basically ebay are so powerful that you will never win such a discrimination case, so they declined to take it on.

So no choice but to cop it on the chin and move on.
