Good luck with that.

Have you actually looked at your account to see what you have been charged for? It's a fair bet they are legitimate charges.

It is free to LIST 40 items per month, doesn't mean your FVFs get waived hence the bill.

True in part that Quicksales is slow...however I make more sales there than I do on eBay these days.

Mainly because I can offer items 15% Lower than I can on eBay, and without all the eBay mumbo jumbo Policies grief.

The fact is eBay is slowly imploding due to excessive greed and arrogance towards both Buyers & Sellers.

They had the market in the palm of their hands, but instead of looking after the marketplace, they closed their hands and squeezed the living **bleep** out of it. And when things get worse, they create new and ever inventive ways to raise the fee's higher.

Anyway, I could no longer cop a loss of 15% to 20% on every item I sold on eBay so stopped selling. Gumtree I find a complete waste of time, so now use Quicksales and local classifieds and still do ok, not as great as the eBay days long since past, but do ok all the same.

Another good idea is to launch your own website and sell direct. It costs very little to do, but once you get the hang of it things get easy and Buyers using Google searches and alsike manage to find you. I still offer Paypal to buyers (for the moment, or until they jack-up their fee's) as its cheaper than having bank credit card vendor services.

I think its a case you just have to look further afield than eBay these days. Just like the bursting of the Dot Com bubble, eBay has burst (more like splattered) and doesn't know its dead but being only kept alive via life support system...which will eventually be switched off by US mum & dad shareholders.

We are about to give Quicksales a try too. Can't be much worse than we are getting on ebay at the moment. Dismal!

We are also soon to launch our own web site too.

We have been looking at eWay as a payment gateway for that. So we can accept credit card payments.

Seems their fees are about on par with PayPal.

Downside is you have to part with a lump sum fee up front to get started. Depending on the plan you want..

Of course its a big risk to find out if/not it works. So not sure yet whether we will go with them

Yep pretty annoying isn't it!
Ebay offered all of my listing as from THEN had the audacity to send me a bill for the end of the month, in which case I HAVE been charged for every listing **bleep**??
Think I'll be going to the ombudsman

check your detailed invoice under your ACCOUNT tab

all your listings would have been fee free

you sold around $300 worth of stuff, your selling fees would have been around $30
