FYI - Having low DSR's removed.

I sent eBay a message last night about having my unfair 2 star rating for postage costs removed.....due to a 20c mark up on an international order. I got a reply this morning and basically they said the seller can't ask to have it removed, you need to contact the buyer and ask them to send a message to have it removed, as that's the only way they can do it. Feedback, even if positive, is also removed at the same time. They assured me that contacting the buyer like this is not in violation of their policy.

I was pretty sure it was my German buyer who left it and they confirmed it for me by using their username in the message, with no prompting from me.

I'm not sure how successful this approach is, but thought the information may be of some use to others who have unfairly been hit with a low DSR for something. I've sent my buyer a message (using google translate UGH!) and asked if they would send eBay a message asking to remove it and also pointed out that the low postage mark up was to cover the cost of the padded bag, as they are not free. I also said that it was not fair that they did this. I'm not expecting any response, but I had to at least try.

Cheers.
