However there are instances where the postage displayed on ebay varies according to your postcode. For example I live in SA and the price of a particular item to post was $10. The seller is in Sydney, when I looked at their item in the postage tab I changed the postcode to 2000 as there was an option there and postage was $7. I was wondering how this is done.

To do this when setting up the listing you choose calculated postage. You then enter the size and weight of the parcel and the AP calculator will work out the postage based on the buyers postcode.
