Feeling a little like that myself. And like you I don't seel much. I buy more. I've recently had a bad experience with a buyer.

I think what buyers need to realise is that for many of us, we are not businesses. I don't want to deal with unfounded complaints and being told I'm a lyer and dishonest. I just don't need it. All for a few bucks?

I'm considering doing only pickups from now on. Then if people have a problem they don't need to take it away with them. Then they can't purposely destroy it and claim it was already destroyed.

My problem is I think everyone is honest just because I am. I treat people the way I would like to be treated and I would never go out of my way to decieve anyone. Then when it does happen I get all upset. It just isn't right.

But I do agree that sellers should be able to include negative feedback for buyers. Why should it all be so one sided? I didn't even know you couldn't until a few months ago when someone refused to pay for an item they won. I went to try to put negative feedback and couldn't! I was actually shocked!

Being able to leave a negative for a buyer doesn't serve any purpose because it doesn't stop them buying. Having non paying strikes against them CAN stop them buying.

I think my bad experience buyer tried to treat me like I was a business, you must do this, you WILL do that, did you know and if you don't, you should, all that kind of stuff. I was so happy when I was able to close my non payer dispute and get her off my back. It did leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Like you, I see myself as being honest and forget that not everyone is like us. There are people out there that try and take us for a ride. They make a hobby out of trying to rip people off. I would never deliberately try and deceive anyone, yet that's what I was being accused of and it did rattle me up a bit.

Yes I to have had the same experience left right and centre. But ebay just keep **bleep** me off they suggest I should uipdate my listings keep reducing my prices but simply I cannot and will not ebay and australia post just take their fees. Reluctantly I have been updating my pages on gumtree and quicksales simply there is NO Fees. However Etsy on only charge 20 cents for 120 day listing and only take 3.5 % commision.

I work my butt off here and i am still punished by feedback it wouldnt matter if you gave them a bubble bath! 🙂

and there in is the problem. Ebay has become and copied normal westfield shopping centre management and charges and fee structures.

yes, and its fast turning back into better to have a stall again rather then ebay it.

too true, especially the best match thing. Just looking out for a replacement to ebay.

G, even running as ebay store, still have to have all the same expenses on top as a real store. Gotta have stock, gotta have insurance, gotta rent something to hold the stock and collect the stock. Still pay GST even on ebay sales.

negative feedback on buyers was a good things. Shame they removed it.

Negative feedback didn't stop bad buyers from buying. Sure, auctions could see their bid cancelled if the seller noticed in time, but they could hit as many BIN's as they liked and there wasn't a thing anyone could do about it. Block lists and non payer strikes DO stop bad buyers buying. All sellers should have blocks in place to stop serial non payers from buying, but sadly, so many don't. However, serial non payers and serial red dotters do find after awhile that they are very limited in who they can buy from.

Do you have blocks in place?
